If you base it purely on our web traffic, this is the biggest thing to happen in Bluffton since the roundabout. Well, maybe.

In any event, the news last month that Hilton Head Island favorite Pomodori would be expanding into Old Town Bluffton got some attention. Now we have more to share.

Originally the plan for the location at 1253 May River Road in Old Town Bluffton was to only offer take out meals. Those plans have changed.

Amanda Cifaldi, owner of Pomodori, tells us that she now plans to offer outdoor seating at what is now officially called “Pomodori Too!” She says there was just too much outdoor space to ignore.

“We have a huge patio out front” She says “We are going to have umbrellas and tables out there, plus our front porch is wide enough to add some smaller tables there as well.”

Amanda explained that while Summers outdoors could be a challenge, there are too many months of the year here where it would be perfect to enjoy a dinner outdoors. So tables it is.

Pomodori too! also plans to offer beer and wine from day one. And for those that are wondering, 100% of the menu at their original location on Hilton Head will be available at this new space in Bluffton.

A peek through the window reveals a front room dominated by a counter under construction. New walls are going up as we speak which will expand the kitchen that the space had previously when it was Underground Burritos. Pomodori Too! will be a fast casual concept. You order your food at the counter, take a number and it will be brought to your table or packed up for you to take home.

Look for the doors to open around Labor Day Weekend, give or take a few hours.
